Module Similar products by attributes for OpenCart
The module is no longer supported, so it is distributed as is
The module automatically shows products with attributes similar to those of the product whose page is open.
First, products with a complete match of all attributes are shown, then almost all, etc. up to one matching attribute.
There is no need to manually specify products in the admin panel. The module automatically finds similar ones.
Additionally, you can specify to search for similar products only within the same categories or the same manufacturer. Or specify a list of categories from where to get similar ones.
The module is useful for a large number of products, allows the buyer to see the analogues of the product and go directly to a similar product.
Installation: Standard through the installation of add-ons. Then we add the module to the standard schema "Product".
The module does not modify files.
For those who are too lazy to adapt, especially for all sorts of fancy templates, the setting "use the recommended module" has been made.
In this case, the standard add-on-modules-recommended module is used for output. Which is usually already laid out in all templates.

Module installation instructions:
- Before performing any actions related to installing an add-on in Opencart, we recommend creating a backup copy of all site files and the store database ;
- Install the localcopy fix (if you don't have it installed yet)
- Download the module file for the desired Opencart version from our website ( Follow the installation instructions if there are any in the module archive );
- Then go to the "Installing add-ons/extensions" section and click on the " Download " button;
- Select the downloaded file and wait for the module to be fully installed and for the text "Application installed successfully" to appear;
- After that, go to " Application Manager " and update the modifiers by clicking the " Update " button;
- After these actions, you need to add the rights to view and manage the module in the " User Groups " section for the administrator or other users you select by clicking " Select All ".
