Description

The module to optimize the size of your site on the Opencart platform is a really useful solution. By default, in CMS Opencart, when removing a product, all images attached to it are not removed, and remain on your hosting, which can negatively affect the performance of the site.

Our module solves this problem: after installing the mod, all product photos are automatically deleted from FTP along with product removal. However, there are additional security measures: a mandatory check is performed before deletion. If the image you want to remove is not only used in the product being removed, but also in other products, it will not be removed.

It is also important to note that the module does not remove images that are directly placed in the product description, as these images may be used in the description of other products. The module is relevant only for images that are attached to the product in the "normal" way.

Installing the module

Module installation instructions:

Before performing any actions related to installing an add-on in Opencart, we recommend creating a backup copy of all site files and the store database ;
Install the localcopy fix (if you don't have it installed yet)
Download the module file for the desired Opencart version from our website ( Follow the installation instructions if there are any in the module archive );
Then go to the "Installing add-ons/extensions" section and click on the " Download " button;
Select the downloaded file and wait for the module to be fully installed and for the text "Application installed successfully" to appear;
After that, go to " Application Manager " and update the modifiers by clicking the " Update " button;
After these actions, you need to add the rights to view and manage the module in the " User Groups " section for the administrator or other users you select by clicking " Select All ".

After completing these steps, your module will be installed and ready to use, and you can start configuring it!
